About Me

Haritha Gaddam, a Senior physiotherapist, is currently working in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department in Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi.

She has a wide range of experience in the field of physiotherapy for over 19 years in SKMC.

Cardiac Physiotherapist with experience inpatient and outpatient (Phase I to III) and post-operative cardiac care in the UAE. Expertise in managing patients post-AVR, CABG, and congenital heart disease with structured exercise prescription and risk stratification. Skilled in METs-based progression, ECG monitoring. Strong focus on improving functional capacity, patient adherence, and clinical outcomes through evidence-based rehabilitation (AHA, AACVPR).
• Conduct comprehensive initial and follow-up cardiac rehab assessments
• Develop individualized exercise programs using treadmill, cycle ergometer, and resistance training
• Monitor ECG, heart rate, BP, SpO₂, and symptoms during sessions
• Progress patients using METs-based and symptom-limited protocols
• Delivered patient education sessions enhancing long-term lifestyle compliance
• Contributed to clinical training and student feedback in cardiac rehab settings
