Dr. Leroy Anthony James is a UK-trained paediatric orthopaedic surgeon with over two decades of experience, specializing in skeletal dysplasia and limb reconstruction surgery. He completed his orthopaedic training in the Mersey region, Liverpool, between 2003 and 2007, followed by a six-month paediatric orthopaedic fellowship at Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital, UK. He then pursued an international paediatric orthopaedic fellowship at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne, from 2007 to 2008.
In July 2008, Dr. James joined Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, which houses the largest paediatric orthopaedic department in the UK. The hospital serves a local population of one million as a secondary care center and acts as a tertiary referral center for over seven million people in Northwest UK. He remained there as a senior consultant until relocating to Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) in January 2024. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a member of the British Society of Children Orthopaedic Surgeons, the British Limb Reconstruction Society, and The Caribbean Orthopaedic Society.
