About Me

Dr. Shaikh Khalil is a Consultant Pediatric Gastroenterologist and Physician Nutrition Specialist with over 18 years of experience caring for infants, children, and adolescents with digestive and nutrition-related problems. She earned her medical degree from the Jordan University of Science and Technology, completed her pediatric training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, and pursued fellowships in Pediatric Gastroenterology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Pediatric Nutrition at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She is board-certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Gastroenterology, and as a Physician Nutrition Specialist.

Before moving to the UAE, Dr. Shaikh Khalil spent ten years at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio—one of the top 10 children’s hospitals in the United States—where she served as an Attending Pediatric Gastroenterologist and Associate Professor at The Ohio State University. She later worked at Danat Al Emarat Hospital in Abu Dhabi as a Consultant Pediatric Gastroenterologist.

Her areas of expertise include feeding problems, growth concerns, nutritional deficiencies, cystic fibrosis-related gastrointestinal and nutritional issues, and pediatric endoscopy, constipation, reflux, feeding and growth problems, celiac disease, nutritional deficiencies, cystic fibrosis, and bone health.
