I am an Internal Medicine Senior Specialist and medical educator with over 15 years of clinical experience across Sudan and the United Arab Emirates, with advanced subspecialty training in cardiology. My medical foundation was built through comprehensive internal medicine practice—managing diverse pathologies from primary care to critical care settings—before pursuing focused cardiac training.
My journey began at the University of Medical Sciences & Technology in Khartoum, followed by four years of rigorous Internal Medicine Residency at the Sudan Medical Specialization Board. As Senior Registrar and subsequently Acting Specialist at Shaab Teaching Hospital, I managed complex multisystem diseases, supervised multidisciplinary teams, and developed expertise in acute medicine, infectious diseases, endocrine emergencies, and critical care. This broad internal medicine base remains central to my practice; I approach each cardiac patient as a whole person, not merely a coronary artery or echocardiogram.
transitioning from general internal medicine to specialized cardiac care in the ICU, CCU, and catheterization laboratory. I have performed diagnostic procedures, managed cardiogenic shock, and provided mechanical circulatory support. Yet I continue to draw daily upon my internal medicine training when managing comorbidities, coordinating complex care, and making nuanced clinical decisions.
Education has always paralleled my clinical work. I served as Teaching Assistant, training medical students in history-taking and clinical examination, leading bedside teaching, ECG interpretation, and BLS instruction. I am also completing a Master’s in Medical Education, formalizing my commitment to developing the next generation of physicians.
I combine clinical excellence with educational leadership. Licensed across all UAE health authorities, I am committed to advancing patient care through evidence-based medicine, compassionate communication, and the comprehensive perspective that only broad internal medicine training can provide.
