Dr. Hiba Shendi is a Consultant Immunologist and Allergist at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi. She completed her specialist training in Allergy and Immunology in the UK in 2012 and previously worked at the Regional Immunology Service, Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. In 2015, she joined Tawam Hospital, leading the Pediatric Allergy and Immunology service and later transitioned to SKMC in 2024.
Dr. Shendi has played a key role in expanding immunology services in the UAE, establishing a tertiary referral center for Primary Immunodeficiency Disorders. She manages both pediatric and adult allergic conditions and is actively involved in research and awareness initiatives. She has multiple publications, including the first on primary immunodeficiency disorders in the UAE. She is also a member of the European Society of Immunodeficiency.
