Dr. Gokul Sathyarathnam is a Consultant Medical Oncologist with more than 30 years of experience in oncology, including over 22 years practising as a consultant oncologist in the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. He completed his specialist training in medical oncology in the United Kingdom.
Dr. Gokul has extensive experience in the management of solid tumours and has worked in major tertiary care centres treating patients from diverse international backgrounds. His clinical interests include breast cancer, lung cancer, and gastrointestinal malignancies.
He has broad experience in modern systemic cancer treatments including chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, targeted therapies, and immunotherapy. His clinical practice is guided by established international oncology guidelines, including those from NCCN and ESMO.
Dr. Gokul works closely within multidisciplinary cancer teams alongside surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists to develop individualised treatment plans for patients. He is committed to providing thoughtful, patient-centred care and places particular emphasis on clear communication, helping patients and their families understand their diagnosis and treatment options throughout the course of care.
