A consultant physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi possess a diverse range of expertise in pain management and rehabilitation for both adult and paediatric patients. My areas of specialty include stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, spina bifida paralysis, spasticity and musculoskeletal medicine.
I earned my medical degree from the University of Ain Shams, Egypt in 1995. I pursued specialist training in Rheumatology and rehabilitation medicine at the same university, obtaining my Master degree and MD degrees in physical medicine and rehabilitation and rheumatology. I also hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Interventional Pain Management from Montpellier France. By leveraging my in-depth knowledge and proficiency in interventional pain management I continue to make significant contributions to the field improving outcomes for patients experiencing chronic and debilitating pain conditions.
I am also a member of the national and international Societies of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and pain management.
With a strong foundation in research I completed my MSc and PhD theses at the University of Ain Shams and Benha University. I have further enriched my skills through extensive hands on multilevel training in musculoskeletal ultrasound from EULAR enhancing my diagnostic abilities and enabling personalized care planning.
In addition to my qualifications I have demonstrated my commitment to excellence by obtaining the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality certificate. This certification equips me with enhanced skills in healthcare quality management performance improvement, and patient centered care reinforcing my dedication to driving quality improvement initiatives within healthcare settings.
