Dr. Omar Ismayl is an experienced pediatric neurologist with extensive training in general pediatrics and neurology across Syria and the United Kingdom. He completed five years of general pediatrics training at Damascus University Children’s Hospital (DUCH), followed by three years of pediatric neurology training at the same institution. He then pursued further specialization in pediatric neurology at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, UK, where he completed four years of training.
Dr. Ismayl has worked as a Consultant in Pediatric Neurology at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital for six years, before taking on a similar role at DUCH as both a consultant and lecturer. Since relocating to the UAE, he has been a Consultant Pediatric Neurologist at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City for the past ten years. His clinical expertise includes managing muscular disorders with gene therapy, treating childhood epileptic and non-epileptic seizures, Botox therapy for spasticity, and leading multidisciplinary care for children with spina bifida.
