Dr. Thomas Colson serves as the Head of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC). With over 18 years of experience, he is a distinguished specialist holding Double Board Certification from both the French Board (SOFCPRE) and the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS).
Dr. Colson completed his rigorous medical training in France, earning his Doctor of Medicine (MD) Magna Cum Laude from Claude Bernard University Lyon 1. He honed his surgical skills during his residency at Nancy University Hospital, a Level I trauma center, and further advanced his qualifications with Interstate Diplomas in Microsurgery and Robotic Surgery (Da Vinci Xi).
Prior to joining SKMC, Dr. Colson practiced as a Consultant in the Paris region and Dubai, handling complex reconstructive cases and elective aesthetic surgeries. His areas of core expertise include Facial Plastic Surgery, Breast Surgery (aesthetic and reconstructive), and Body Contouring using advanced techniques.
Dr. Colson is an active member of leading professional societies, including ISAPS, SOFCPRE, and SOFCEP.
His commitment to excellence was recognized internationally with the Silver Medal – Rhinoplasty Poster Award at the ISAPS World Congress in Singapore (2025).
