About Me

Dr. Sofia Konstantinopoulou is board-certified in Pediatric pulmonology, in Sleep medicine and in Lifestyle medicine. She trained at the Unterberg Children’s Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center, NJ, USA, serving as chief resident, and later at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), PA, USA. She worked as an attending physician at CHOP, and she was an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania (PENN). She has been practicing at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City for the past 10 years, treating children with complex respiratory disorders, including those requiring long-term mechanical ventilation.
Dr. Konstantinopoulou is invested in medical education. She serves as core faculty in the Department of Pediatrics at SKMC, as an adjunct assistant professor of Pediatrics at Khalifa University, and she is a board member of the World Sleep Academy.
Dr. Konstantinopoulou is an active member of various professional societies, including the American Thoracic Society, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American College of Chest Physicians and the Emirates Thoracic Society.
