The Pediatric Neurodevelopment Division at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of neurodevelopmental disorders in children and adolescents. With a focus on addressing developmental delays and behavioral concerns, the division ensures that every child receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs. SKMC is the leading provider of specialized mental health services in Abu Dhabi, with the Behavioral Sciences Pavilion (BSP) serving as the largest and most advanced mental health facility in the Emirates.
BSP is the primary mental health provider for SEHA and non-SEHA facilities, offering comprehensive outpatient and inpatient services.
BSP provides continuous telephone and bedside consultations to all SEHA facilities across Abu Dhabi.
With 126 beds across multiple specialized units, BSP offers subspecialty care for varying acuity levels, including general adult inpatient units, substance misuse inpatient, forensic inpatient, and specialized pediatric psychiatry services.
BSP provides expert evaluations for legal and civilian cases referred by the judiciary, Department of Health, and other governmental entities.
BSP is the only center in Abu Dhabi offering this specialized therapeutic intervention.

The Pediatric Neurodevelopment Division operates through various service settings to provide accessible and effective care including outpatient specialty clinics which operate 5 days a week from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, staffed by a dedicated team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers. Expert evaluations and opinions for students referred by schools and other institutions to address developmental and behavioral concerns are also provided. Lastly, the Behavioral Sciences Pavilion (BSP) offers both outpatient and inpatient services for children with complex neurodevelopmental and psychiatric conditions.
