Dr Eslam Hussein is an Egyptian Neurosurgeon who obtained his medical degree from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt on December 2011 (Summa Cum Laude). He started his neurological and spine surgery residency in Ain Shams University teaching Hospitals for 3 years obtaining a master degree in Neurological and Spine surgery in November 2015. Soon After, he was appointed as a neurosurgery assistant Lecturer and specialist in Ain Shams University Teaching Hospitals to complete his neurosurgery advanced training. He became a member of the royal college of surgeons (MRCS England) after passing his exam. He conducted his Medical Doctorate in collaboration with King's College University Hospitals, London, UK about treatment modalities of complex anterior circulation intracranial aneurysms. He also started working as a senior registrar in Saudi German Hospitals, Cairo, Egypt. He Joined King's College Hospital, London, UK to complete his neurosurgical training and to finish his Medical Doctorate in Neurosurgery. During his training in UK, he did different rotations in various neurosurgical specilaities including pediatric neurosurgery, neuro oncology, Complex spine surgery, vascular and functional neurosurgery. He returned back to Cairo to defend his thesis and to obtain the Medical Doctorate in Neurological and Spine Surgery, May 2021. He was appointed as Consultant and Lecturer of Neurological and spine surgery in Ain Shams University Teaching Hospitals since then. He returned back to UK to finish his final neurosurgical exam obtaining The Intercolligate Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Neurosurgeons, Edinburgh in April 2022. He Joined SKMC Abu Dhabi in July 2023 as a skilled Neurosurgeon with experience in neurological and spine surgery, neuro-intervention, and academic leadership. Proven expertise in complex surgical procedures, clinical research, and mentoring, with a commitment to advancing neurosurgical practices.
